The Board of Trustees of the Weaver Union School District to Determine Whether the District Has Sufficient Standards-Aligned Textbooks and Instructional Materials for Each Student for the 2024-2025 School Year
In compliance with Education Code Sections 60119, 60421, and 60422, please be advised that the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Weaver Union School District (“District”), at a public hearing to be held on September 11, 2024, will determine whether all students in the Weaver Union School District have sufficient standards-aligned textbooks and instructional materials and whether the District is in compliance with all regulations regarding instructional materials per Education Code Section 60421.
The Board will adopt a resolution stating whether textbooks and instructional materials are sufficient, disclose in the Board resolution the percentage of students in each school who lack standards-aligned materials and if insufficiency exists, the reasons for the insufficiency. The resolution will also identify the remedy for any insufficiency that may exist.
The public hearing of the District on the matter will be held on September 11, 2024, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter in the Pioneer Elementary School Library, located at 2950 Gerard Avenue, Merced, California 95341. These materials will be considered at such time as this agenda item is considered by the District.
