The ELAC is a committee made up of parents of second language learners and school personnel for the purpose of guiding the school site in its effort to provide needed services to second language learners.  The ELAC is responsible for advising the principal and staff on programs and services for English language learners. The ELAC also advises the School Site Council on the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Other duties include helping the principal with a school needs assessment, reviewing the annual language census and helping parents understand the importance of regular school attendance. The ELAC also selects one or more of its members to serve on the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
